Jonathan started studying ballet at age 8 at the renowned Maria de Avila school in Zaragoza, Spain; taking summer courses in Madrid under the tutelage of Fernando Bujones, the famous Cuban-American dancer. He went on to study at the John Cranko school in Stuttgart, Germany and the School of American Ballet in New York City. He danced with the Boston and San Francisco Ballets, touring the United States, Italy, France, Spain, England and Ireland, and performing in world-class theaters like the Paris Opera, the Royal ballet, and the Sadler's Wells in London. Jonathan made shorter appearances with smaller companies, including the Tulsa Ballet and the Austin Musical Theater company. He has taught and choreographed on students of all ages and levels; also coaching fellow professional dancers and students for performances and competitions. Jonathan acquired a BA in performing arts from St. Mary's College in 2008.
